About Wild Turkey Fever
Wild Turkey Fever is a blog focused on sharing my passion for wild turkey hunting with other turkey hunters. Wild Turkey Fever provides turkey hunting and conservation news, stories, hunting tips, product reviews, hunting strategies and industry news for hunters of all skill levels.Ultimately we would like to see this blog as the best online source for turkey hunting available to hunters. We appreciate your feedback, comments, news and participation, so we can grow together and learn from each other.
The world around us is changing at a fast pace and hunting is not immune to that. As hunters we have to change to match or see our heritage dwindle and fall apart. Wild Turkey Fever made it therefore a point to celebrate our unique hunting heritage and the wonderful world of the wild turkey and promote it to a new and young generation.
Wild Turkey Fever started as a humble turkey hunting blog, but over the years became with over 140 pages, and counting, of information one of the largest turkey hunting resources on the internet. At beak times, starting February to June (Spring turkey hunting season) and August to December (Fall turkey hunting season) Wild Turkey Fever has over 10,000 readers per week.
About the Author Othmar Vohringer
Over the last decade Othmar Vohringer has been fortunate enough to share his passion for wild turkeys, whitetail deer and his deep appreciation for nature in some of Canada's leading outdoor magazines and on countless seminars throughout Canada. Othmar's aim is to inform and inspire others about our rich and diverse hunting heritage and our responsibility as stewards of all things wild and beautiful. Before Othmar became a full time hunter and outdoors communicator he earned a living for over 30 years as an internationally respected animal beahviourist, a specialized knowledge that he readily combines with his many years of hunting experience. To Othmar hunting always meant more than just going out to pursue wildlife; to him it's a way of life. If he is not out hunting or studying wild animals he writes about his endeavours or talks about it on seminars. As an educator and promoter he's active in the preservation of our hunting heritage and the recruitment of young and new hunters.
